I used to be so good at blogging. The more time that passes the more I let blogging sit on the back burner so I can watch my kids grow up. And then every once in a while it hits me. Why can’t I blog about the time I spend with my kids more? Yes, my blog is a business blog first. But my family is such a huge part of why I do what I do now and I want to share that with people!
So when they go to bed early, or when they are napping, those are great opportunities to be sharing with you guys what makes me the happiest person on the planet. And that brings me to now. While Elliott naps in her crib upstairs, I’m going through pictures I took yesterday on our Sunday together as a family. I feel like this past weekend was the first time in quite a while that I turned work off and just played Mom/Wife. We woke up, we spent time around the house, then we packed a picnic and went to the park. The weather was amazing, the sun was shining, and the girls were just in a great mood. Afterward, we treated ourselves to Hawaiian shaved ice and had some pool time. Turns out even though it’s finally getting hot enough outside to go swimming, the water is still a little too cold so even though Elliott was ok to try it out, Evan wasn’t having much of it. She actually thinks she forgot to swim. LOL. But if you know her or us at all, you know she’s actually the strongest swimmer you’ve probably ever seen in a 3 year old. So hopefully we snap her out of this fear she’s grown and get her excited again once the water warms up in the next month or so.
It’s so hard to believe that one week from today this beautiful smiling blue eyed wild child will be 4! I can’t wait to share her celebrations with all of you. It will be a My Little Pony extravaganza and she couldn’t be more excited!
