When I photographed Jessica and Jared’s Pompano Beach engagement session I don’t remember laughing so much, or somehow making someone else laugh so much as I did Jessica. LOL. And I know I’m not that funny, so that makes me love her even more! I just connected with them both so well from the beginning. If my memory serves me, Jared was the one who reached out to me first as Jessica is a very busy nurse, and we hit it off right away. I found myself drawn in easily to his friendly personality and how highly he always spoke of Jessica.

My business was referred to them by their chosen venue, The Hollywood Beach Marriott. I feel very lucky to have stayed in touch with the coordinator there, Lauren. She has sent me a handful of referrals in the past. And let me tell you, it really makes my heart warm to know when my name gets passed out in this way. I take pride in knowing that people see value in my work and are willing to refer me to others.

It always excites me when clients choose the beach for their session, and this was no different. I’m not even from Florida and this is just my element! The salty air and the sand, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It just makes my heart happy. And the way the light bounces off the sand as a natural reflector is just a photographer’s dream. These photos are definitely some of my favorite for that reason. But if I’m being honest, these photos wouldn’t speak to me nearly has much if it weren’t for that absolute elation and joy on Jessica’s face while spending time with her future husband.

Seriously, I don’t think anyone has a smile as radiant as Jessica’s. It was such a challenge for me to narrow down the photos I wanted to share for this reason. Every time I looked at a photo with her so bright and smiley I just wanted to share it. I see in them who they are as a couple, how much he makes her happy and how much he loves being the one to make her happy, and just how in love they are.
