I had such a blast photographing this Palm Beach Engagement Session for Jaclyn and Stephen. Jaclyn is the twin sister of Kaylee, and I photographed Kaylee’s wedding back in 2017. I already felt a special twin connection to Kaylee being a twin myself. So getting to shoot both of their weddings made me feel so special.
I love engagement sessions because they are so chill and they give us a time to connect and get to know each other. Jaclyn and Stephen met me in Downtown Boca where we walked the streets and found some cool backdrops. Afterward, we drove a few miles to the beach and enjoyed the absolutely beautiful weather and setting sun. We spent so much time talking and laughing and I heard a little about them and their story. We talked about what they do and most importantly, from the photographer’s perspective, they really got the chance to get comfortable in front of my camera. And that is so important for the upcoming wedding. By the time I show up on their wedding day they feel like they know me, they remember what it’s like to be in front of my camera, and the day goes much more smoothly.
These images are just a handful of my favorites from the time we spent together. I have to say, the Pineapple wall was totally a great find. Many Palm Beach photographers probably already know it and use it but being that I live in Miami I don’t shoot in Palm Beach as often and every turn of the corner can bring a surprise! This one was a pleasant one for sure. Look at those colors!
